Sven Rücker received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Freie Universität Berlin in 2010. Also in 2010, he received the Ernst-Reuter-Award for the best dissertation. Before, he studied History, Philosophy and German Literature at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg. Sven Rücker works as an author for the radio and as a lecturer for Philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin. He has taught courses about modern and classical theories of masses and crowds, about the history of the self and violence, about political philosophy and anthropology, and about the culture of waiting.
