Dr. Brigitta Wagner is a film historian and filmmaker. After completing her B.A. at Dartmouth College, she did her graduate work at the Freie Universität Berlin and Harvard University, where she earned her A.M and Ph.D. in German and Film and Visual Studies. From 2008-13 she worked as an assistant professor at Indiana University in Bloomington before accepting an Alexander-von-Humboldt Fellowship in film and time-based media in Berlin. Wagner has taught at several institutions in Berlin, including NYU Berlin, Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule, and the MET Film School. She is the editor of the anthology DEFA after East Germany (Camden House, 2014) and the author of Berlin Replayed: Cinema and Urban Nostalgia in the Postwall Era (University of Minnesota Press, 2015). Her feature film Rosehill premiered in 2015.
