Gernot Weckherlin studied architecture in Munich, London and Briey en Forêt and is a chartered architect in Berlin since 2002. He has taught architectural history and theory at Bauhaus-University Weimar, UdK Berlin and Beuth-Hochschule Berlin and Bauhaus Foundation Dessau/ University of Applied Sciences Anhalt and writes for various architectural magazines including Architektenblatt, Bauwelt, Deutsche Bauzeitung. He is a founder member of Netzwerk Architekturwissenschaft,an interdisciplinary research group for architectural studies, member of the German Studies Association (GSA), and of the DAAD Alumni-Network. From 2015 to 2019 he was Visiting Professor for Theory of Architecture at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus. He is currently Visiting Professor for Architectural Theory at Hochschule Anhalt, Dessau.
