Paula's interest in language, culture and people inspired her decision to study Sociolinguistics and Social and Cultural Anthropology. A high school exchange in eMakhazeni, South Africa, and an internship in Fryslân, the Netherlands sparked a special interest in the legal and social situation of minority languages, specifically West Frisian.
Working with international students, she wants to help create a welcoming atmosphere in her hometown and share her love of language, culture and individual uniqueness.
