PD Dr. Gregor Streim

Gregor Streim holds a doctorate in German Studies and is an adjunct professor at the Department for German and Dutch Philology at Freie Universität Berlin. He has also taught as a visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin, Madison/USA, the University of Peking, China, and Freie Universität Berlin. His research and teaching concentrates on German literature in the 20th century, especially classic modernism, and his main area of focus has been the literature and culture of the inter-war period, as in his book about anthropologic concepts in literature between 1939 and 1945 and his introduction to literature of the Weimar Republic. He is currently working on a textbook about literature during the period of National Socialism and from authors in exile.
