Libraries

FUBiS participants may use the university's vast library system comprising the Central University Library (Universitätsbibliothek), the Philological Library (Philologische Bibliothek) as well as a series of departmental libraries. The user-oriented library information system provides the literature for research, teaching, and studying. Free Internet access is available at all libraries.

The Library Information System OPAC (online public access catalogue) can be found at http://opac.fu-berlin.de.

We regret that it is not possible for FUBiS students to borrow books. The libraries require a permanent German address to do so. However, students may order books for usage in the reading room area.

The Opening Hours of the libraries are as follows:

• Central University Library:
  Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Philological Library:
  Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please note that the Opening Hours during the Semester breaks might vary.
