Kim Feser’s research and teaching focuses are electronic music, new music, the overlapping of pop music/ underground/avant-garde as well as aesthetics of music, music technology, and processes of archiving.
Currently (2018), he is working on the history and aesthetics of music sequencers; on Pauline Oliveros, Theodor W. Adorno and Gilles Deleuze; and on the history of the Darmstadt Summer Courses for New Music.
